Hi,
My name is Lorna but my best friends call me Loree. I guess this should have been my first post but, once you get to know me better, you will come to understand that I rarely do things the conventional way.
I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a dreamer, a hopeless romantic, an endless contradiction.I love the NW wind, grey skies and rough seas, golden sunsets, winding streets and so much more. My favourite colour is blood-red and I like my chocolate dark and bitter. I am a spinner of tales and a weaver of dreams; a thinker but not much of a talker. In medieval times I would have been called a witch but I now go by the more mundane title of pharmacist.
Mediterranean to my very core, I live to the rhythm of the deep blue sea. My home is an island steeped in history and as old as the dawn of civilization; a land where history and myths are so intertwined that you have to scrape away at the layers to extract truth from fiction.
A bit of a gypsy at heart, I love to travel and have fallen in love with Rome, Venice, London, Vienna, Prague, Siena and Chicago … to name just a few. Apart from writing and travelling, I have developed a passion for photography. Whenever I have some time to spare I spend it reading, cooking desserts, baking bread, and writing my thoughts on this blog.
I hope you will join me on this journey of self-discovery.
