Sometimes I sit here and the words roll off my fingers. Sadly, today isn’t one of those days. I’ve been scrolling through my photos, hoping that one of them will provide some sort of inspiration – but when the body is tired the best thing to do is rest. I wanted to thank all of you for the kind birthday wishes. I appreciated each and every one of them.I meant to do something fun and then come back here and tell you about it. But the Mischief Maker and I got sick and we are both still feeling pretty low. Night-times are not very restful with all the coughing going on. So I suppose it’s understandable that I am rather the worse for wear at the moment.
This coming Friday I will be joining Suze for False Start Fridays. You can read more about that here.
In the meantime, I will try to find my muse. She doesn’t usually lurk too far away – not unless she’s on holiday or has come down with the flu herself.

Rest is the prescription, friend, though I know sleep eludes you with a winter cough nagging both you and your little one. When you cannot sleep, at least keep still and don't overexert yourself.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful image, a lovely view of the wild flowers and beyond. Sorry you haven't been feeling well. Wishing you a speedy recovery and a Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteLook under the bed, maybe she is there :) ! I have moments like that too, or sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with a good inspiration for a post then I jump out of my bed write it down and then fall asleep. Otherwise I would turn around like a windmill in my bed with the ideas in my head !
ReplyDeleteHope your cold will be over soon ! and the nightly coughing concert stops !
Hello:
ReplyDeleteWe are so sorry to learn that you are under the weather. We know from experience that these 'flu type colds can really get one down and take ages to be rid of. The worst aspect is that lingering cough.
That said, we have much enjoyed your image of thrift on a Cornish cliff top.
Love the photograph!
ReplyDeleteHope you and your mischief maker will start feeling better very soon.
Take care!
Sue.
Beautiful photo... sorry to hear you and Mischief Maker haven't been feeling well. It's hard to find inspiration when you're under the weather. Rest and take care of yourself and she will return.
