Fabulous Fridays: Tangerine Tango

So here I am, back with a Friday post that is full of everything fun and frivolous. As some of you may, or may not, know Pantone have chosen  Tangerine Tango as the colour of 2012. This colour is bursting with energy and positivity and can definitely be classified as a happy colour.

We can probably all use a bright pop of this warm, vibrant colour somewhere in our lives.
So what is it going to be:

Or do you do what I do, stay with the colours you like and don’t give much thought to what the people at Pantone decide?
Enjoy your weekend and, no matter what your favourite personal colour scheme is, I hope that these Tangerine  Tango images have provided just the right amount of summery glow to those of you who may be dealing with cold, grey winter days.

Tangerine Tango as defined by Pantone’s executive director Leatrice Eiseman:
“Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it. Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.”

  1. i love this color as an accent, otherwise, it's too much if it's used in one place. just my thought.

  2. fun post! orange looks hideous on me, although my daughter can wear it. i tend to use the colors i like, somewhat regardless of fashion, but i often incorporate a touch here and there... i love those roses and the wildflowers!

  8. Don't cringe but I actually have one wall of my bedroom painted a very deep burnt orange color. I love mixing oranges, browns, and tans together.

  11. Tangerine is such a lovely colour. I especially like it paired with royal blue!
I don't take trends too seriously... I may accent with them but otherwise, I only purchase what I love. With that being said, Hermes orange is a true clasic {in my opinion}.
